A3 symphony Bose AM & FM signal not working
 

Hello,

So I studiedly bought a stock double din deck from China for my Audi and got it installed.

The item caused nothing but problems and I had it removed and sent it back. However now, my AM does not work whatsoever and my FM is very intermittent. I had some professional radio installers look at it and said that it's likely the built in amplifier in the sharkfin antenna in the roof of the car which needs to be replaced and that it's about a $60.00 dollar part and a few hours of labour. Anyone have experience with this issues before?

what is the guy talking about? The diversity antenna amplifier is in the rear near the rear windshield wiper motor.

But why would the antenna amp blow up? Did you check to make sure the diversity antenna connector has both antennas connected properly?
