a3 titanium wheels
I think I may get some from the dealership, anyone know what sizes they come in? Im guessing they dont come in 19's. I wanna also powdercoat them black. What do yall think?

RE: a3 titanium wheels
Is there a pic online of the wheels you are talking about?
I love the red on your A3, but I have to admit I'm not a huge fan of the wheels on it right now. (Mine are worse...my stock Audi rims look a lot like a German military cross!) I've heard mixed opinions on the powder coating, though personally I have no experience with it at all. |
RE: a3 titanium wheels
I have the titanium package and they are 18s. But I got them all scratched up cus i fell asleep on the freeway and hit the divider. :( i'm planning to have them re-polished and paint them in a different color. i was thinking about the color that comes with S3 wheels. i thought that might look pretty damn good on my white S-line.:D wut do u guys think?
here's a picture of s3 wheels: http://www.rsportscars.com/foto/06/audis307_08.jpg and the titanium wheels that i have (this car actually look identical to my car): http://www.fourtitude.com/news/uploa...ti_package.jpg |
RE: a3 titanium wheels
I think it would be cheaper to get replica wheels. Especially if you plan on getting them painted.
http://www.raderwerks.com/wheels_det...=89&page=1 They even make them in bronze. |

these would be the wheels.... Attachment 60358
TPE_A3 - I am not a fan of the stock wheels either, hence I am looking into other alternatives. STEVEN - you gotta be careful out there! BURNT TOAST - I have an in at the dealership and can get anything at cost! That looks like a great alternative tho should things fall through or they don't have them in 19's. Thanks for the site. I am getting the audi book soon to look through. I may try to photo them black to see how they would look. Will post if i can. |
RE: a3 titanium wheels
That's what I was looking to do was get the Titanium package wheels (aka the S3, just different color) then get them powdered in Black. If you get a good photo of it show us I'm very interested. But I would only go 18's in my neck of the woods.

RE: a3 titanium wheels
Those Ti rims look sick on a Lava Gray A3. Very nice combo IMO.
Cheers! |
RE: a3 titanium wheels
I think those rims will look awsome even better powdercoated BUT..
DO NOT GET THEM FROM THE DEALER! lol The guy quoted me 700-900$ on STOCK RIMS not even the titanium!!! I cant imagine how much they will charge for those. Your better off looking for an aftermarket rim that is similar to it and powdercoating it black imo, youd save billions. |
RE: a3 titanium wheels
But what chef? Not on red!!!!! Yall are some red haters! Haha. Jk.
Fusion-I shud be able to get them at cost. No dealer markup. |
RE: a3 titanium wheels

RE: a3 titanium wheels
Auggh, those are the wheels to have! I have a Lava Grey and it came with those Mazda looking stock wheels, bummer. The Ti package was just too much $ at the time...Does anyone know what the
wheel weights are of the stock wheels vs. the Ti package wheels or even the reps? I like the Radarworks one, very nice. I like the idea of the Oz wheels since they weight only 19lbs. littelhttp://www.tirerack.com/images/wheels/oz/swap/oz_ultraleggera_mblk_ci3_l.jpg lets us know when you get the new wheels! |

Or you can get replicas (24lbs)
I have 17x7.5 reps from Powerwheelspro.com they have other audi replicas-17-19" at affordable price. I've put on 1k on these wheels and quality is very good. Then you can probably have it powdercoated after. Attachment 55799 Attachment 55800 |

I would love to get those powercoated in a gun metal color, and get them in 19". I have a black 3.2, and that combined with a titanium black grill (outline)...would be beautiful
