Default Advice for Audi A3 retrofit parts

Hi Guys,

Failry new to this forum, long time member but never posted b4.

I have just sold my Audi A6 3.0TDi Quattro and got myself an A3 2.0TDi 140BHP Quattro 3 Door 2006 model. I am looking to get some retrofit parts fitted (cruise control, Multi-Function Steering Wheel, RNS-E, Auto Wipers/lights, etc, etc) but am a complete noooooob when it comes to this.

I have found many websites that offer the parts and fitting but not in my area (Hampshire) and most are not willing to travel the distance. Does anyone know of any 'local' retrofit fitters for Audi parts?

I understand that you need 'some' parts VAG-COM'ed, whatever that means, to code the parts to the car correctly, I will also need help with this, can an Audi dealer do it?

Basically I want to fit some extra's to my car, find someone who can supply and fit them in or willing to travel to Hampshire or I can travel to them if local.

P.S How do i know if my car is 8L, 8P, etc????

Thanks in advance for your help.

Jamie

vag-com is a cable and program that you use to hook up to the car's computer. you can buy a vag-com cable and software and do it yourself. i doubt a dealer will do that for you since it's basically over-riding oem programming.
