Advice on squeaky brakes

I have a two year old A3 that I got new. It's got about 19,000 miles on it. I've noticed that the brakes are starting squeaking recently, so I probably need to get them checked. Is this most likely something that would be covered by warranty? I'm just trying to decide if I should go to the dealer, or just to a local brake place to have them checked.

thanks.

try some 60 to 5's that should solve it ;)

Change them!!

if your brakes are squeaking it means that the pads are worn down and need replacement.its probably only your front pads that are squeaking so only get them replaced, you should keep tabs on ur brakes and don't let the pads wear down to less than about 7mm as they lose performance and could even damage the discs if they wear down the whole way!

If your pads are fine, remove the pads from the calipers then add "brake squeal" to the back of each pad. It has to cover enough that any contact w/ the calipers is covered.

Do like A3Mike said. Brake hard from 60 to 5 a couple of times and, I'll bet, your problem will be solved. At least for a while. Mine squeak most of the time, but it's because I drive like an old man.
