Hi all :-)
Just joined and am trying to find out as much as I can about what to look for when buying a 1.8T (180BHP) A3 Quattro.

The insurance of the S3 is a bit too high + I need 5 doors, but I don't really know what to be looking for when buying.

If anyone can give me any tips, let me know :-)

Hey look out for the, engine specifications, performance, the type of drive it offers,cost, special features, comforts, new technologies available for the given cost, compare it with rest models, and then if you feel its worth the price go for it.

I was also looking for any tips on weak areas or areas of the car that are 'likely' to 'go' and faults that are common..

In the end, I bought a Bora 4motion. '03 plate with under 47,000 miles on the clock. Nice condition and lots of extras (sat nav, leather, rain sensing wipers etc.)
