I've been searching the web for day now.. and find always different information and different situations, so now i'll ask your help!

I have an Audi a3 8L 1997.12 month car 1.6 petrol..

As i know it is with an OBD I connection 16PIN ..
I'd like to buy a VAG COM and VAG Tacho softfare and diagnostic cable for it..
I've looked on the internet and fount that the official VAG COM cable is about 50+$, but i've found some named VW/AUDI KKL OBD /OBD II Diagnostic cable with 409.1 VAG software.. for about 10$. My first question is will it fit in my car and could i do the diagnostics with this cable and software?

My other question is that i've found a VAG Tacho for correcting the km in my car.. but I don't know what to buy and what will work with my car..

I've found that the VAG Tacho 1.5 for VW/AUDI and the cable packed with it supports A4/A6/A8 from 98-2001 and A3 from 1998.. I think is it for OBD I connectors..

The next cable and SW is the VAG TACHO 2.5 for VW/AUDI supports the same cars but with OBDII but without the CAN BUS system.. (My car does not have canbus though..)

What would you suggest to buy? The VAG TACHO 2.5 or the 1.5? Or can i use the VAG TACHO program with the normal VAG DIAG cable?

Please help me cuz i'm a lil' bit confused in this things..
