First of all, just found this forum , looks good from what i have read


I have an Audi A3 18.T on a 02 Plate (UK) and have had the joy of loosing my lockin wheel nut key. It is the star shape variety. My friend is a mechanic and is convinced the wheel needs to be cut off [:@]

this is the last thing i want to do


has anybody had this issue and how has it been resolved

Go to a run down place and put a post it on the wheel saying "FREE!" and come back in 30 mins.... come back in 2 minutes if you live in NY

Problem solved.




OKOKOK... you can try a heavy duty stripped screw remover. However, with the amount of torque thats on the bolt, it probably will not work but deffinatly worth a try.
