I still have the same problem:(. See my post in this forum, a couple of weeks ago : https://www.audiforums.com/m_65422/tm.htm it seems that we have to use a couple of wires which are going to an amplifier somewhere in the car. I found which wires to use (see my topic) but ca't get it to work [:@]

Just wondering...i had same problem in my A3, i have the 96 model, with an onboard sub,

on your old set there should be some sort of wiring guide on it. I found it on mine but realised the Goodmans HU i bought didnt have the phono inputs on it so i couldnt connect rear speakers or the sub. However got fronts working and they sounded ok. But decided just to return the Head Unit and get a refund, will have to look into getting a decent head unit for my newly purchased A3 :)

:)

Any one know of any cheap GOOD head units made by Audi, that dont require facias?

Thanks

Has anyone found a solution to this problem yet ? ive got the same problem where i have the front speakers working but no rear, ive tried 2 different smart leads that change the audi wiring for the speakers but neither worked, so am stook with front only and hardly and bass.

I've heard about a lot of people having the exact same problems. I've kept the BOSE concert system just because it sounds like SUCH an arse to change it all, even though the rear speakers are pants! Anyway, I think its something to do with the line out setup of the Concert system. Not a man of electrical persuasion so don't really know too much about it! This is the closest thread I could find relating to it, hope it helps...
