Hi All,
I am new to the Audi community and new this forum.
I'veflashed the ECU on my A3 with Revo stage 1, is the "C" type Diverter Valve is all I need to upgrade or I will need to upgrade both the "C"diverter valveAND forge BOV?
Thanks

Get the "C" type OEM Diverter Valve. You can add the Forge BOV for sound if you desire but it has 0 performance gains. Your car will need a diverter valve no matter what. I'm not sure what aluminum DV you are talking about. Look at the link and see the "C" valve I was talking about for a little less scratch then I spent on it.

What year is your car?
If it is a 2006 MY, then you need to check and see if you have the "B" or "C" valve. 2007 and on will automatically have the "C" valve. The later factory valve will most likely be fine. Do more research before you decide on the Forge DV. You'll never "need" the BOV, that's only for noise and serves no other purpose in our cars.

Chef,
Thanks for your response!
Mine is a early '06 so it probably have the "B" valve, how can I verify? I've heard the Revo stage1 does not need to upgrade the DV, only stage2 does, not sure that's true or not. I mainly looking for reliability, would the forge DV help in any way?
Thanks!

The "B" DV is fairly weak and just a stage I chip can cause it to rupture. I would suggest upgrading to at least the "C" DV. The Forge DV is awesome and will work well and never rupture, but it is a more significant "mod" that your dealer will definitely notice. Figure out if it is better to try and hide your chip and keep the warranty in tact, or just go for the best fix no matter what.

My A3 seems to loose power sometimes (not loosing traction, i think at least)....
It is usually w/ high rpms...do you think it could be the valve?! It's a 07 that I got in jan-feb....I guess I could take off the panel and see what valve I have, but I'm sure I could also bring it in and have them change it out to a "g" valve...
To me, it seems that it looses pressure...but it could be something else...

It could be the DV or maybe the PVC? There are several pieces that can fail to hold the boost pressure and each of the items has one or more revisions since production. Just tell the dealer about your problem and that you think there is a boost leak. They'll investigate and start replacing parts.
