Really sorry if this has been done to death i had a quick search and couldn't find anything!


I plan to purchase a a3 1.8t old shape in the near future, i am looking for the turbo FWD version (slightly cheaper insurance & running costs). I've done some research and found there is no commons problems but I want to know from a owners point of view what its like to own? Also what expenses have you had on your a3's


But most importantly what should i look for when purchasing a used a3?




More info, I driving a 2000 reg 1.8 16v SXI astra ATM
My dads buying it for me (cheaper insurance)
Looking to spend a couple of grand (high mileage in the ones i have viewed)
Looking to most likely remapped if and when i get the money.
