Are high mileage Audi A3s worth it?
Hi all,
Looking to buy a 2-3yr old Audi A3 and am looking at spending about £7500. This looks like it'll get me a decent diesel Audi (petrol ones are much cheaper for some reason) with around 70,000 - 80,000 on the clock.
But for the same price I can get a Ford Focus with around 30,000 on the clock. I would much prefer the Audi (have had VWs all my life) but am struggling to convince the wife, who thinks a lower mileage car would be better (i.e. a Ford).
Everyone I've spoken to says the Audi would be a better bet and I'm guessing that's the opinion of most folk on here (given that it's an Audi forum!).
Is the Audi just a much better car, hence the higher mileage? Cheaper to run? Will last longer?
Basically I'll be sick if we end up getting a plastic-mobile and it's a horrid drive.
Any insight, opinion or info gratefully received.
Cheers,
JW
