Can anyone please help, I just bought a A3 1997 R plate, 1.6 petrol manual, engine has slight idleing problems, feels as if it going stall but doesnt, revs are not very erratic however the engine feels it is once warm. I turned the steering wheel to the right in a full lock and the engine stalled. Driving the car seems very jerky and can feel a slight loss pf power in the 1st and 2nd gear, but on the motorway drives really good, throttle is responsive.

Had a diagnostic check carried out and got the following code: 537 Lambda (Oxygen Sensor) Regulationstatic - Upper stop value

Can anyone please advise me if this is a DIY job and where I can find this sensor, also had a look on ebay for this sensor and there is a few on there, should I buy one from Ebay or get one from the dealers.

Any advice, help and suggestion will be appreciated.

I paid 1100 for this motor has done 127k and the MOT is running short, will need to sort this problem ASAP!
