Watch the video, you see how the driver is stepping on the brake pedal while full throttle on gas and keeping RPM at around 3k? That's launch control. Once you let go of the brake pedal, it's a perfect launch every time.
As for which one you want, test drive both and decide for yourself. No one can tell you which one is better for you.
