The KO4 is a fairly standard upgrade for the Audi turbo. I think you'll find with a little time and some patience that a much better and cheaper turbo option will appear. My guess is that in a year or so there will be many big turbo options better than the KO4 at a fraction of that price. Too much money for this old man.

Have patience my young padawan! If it's large turbo you seek, find it you will!

Cheers!

i'm just a messenger delivering the info, i don't have money for the next few months for any mods.

after what i've seen/done at dubwars, i'm pretty content with my A3's performance, i'll put my addiction to the side for now.

Ummm... correct me if I'm wrong, but, with a big turbo like that and the addition of other aftermarket parts, wouldn't your ft lbs. quickly approach the potential breaking point for the DSG transmission?

I hear there will be some potential upgrades to the DSG allowing for such gains, but until those are released and heavily tested, I'll be sticking w/ my stock turbo.

There has been a lot of debate as to how much torque the DSG will hold. I've been told by the dealer and Eurocode that the clamping power of the DSG is that same as the manual transmission. Who knows though? That was another reason why I went with the manual.

Cheers!
