Hi all,

My 1999 1.9TDI A3 started to lose power all of a sudden. I would pump the accelerator pedal but nothing, only way to get power back would be to dip the clutch pedal and away we go....Until the next time.

Computer picked up a fault with the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor. £150 later the part arrived and was fitted. It did nothing, code still appears on the computer , the engine management light will light up randomly and the car will also cut power randomly, it could be days before t does it again. Mechanic said it could be a faulty sensor again although rare, it could also be faulty wiring?

Im now worried that Im going to start spending lots of money I don't have chasing a fault that we may never find? Anyone else has this issue?
