faulty fuel pressure regulator
I have an 08 a3 bone stock 20k miles
I was driving on the freeway doing about 70mph and went to step on it to pass a semi and -nothing- no power, it's like the turbo turned off.
I continue onto my destination and park. when I get back in and start up the CEL light is on. the next time I start up it takes a good 3-4 seconds of cranking for it to fire up.
I drop by an auto parts store and plug the scan tool in and it says that its "Poor fuel pressure regulator performance"( I was a dumbass and didn't write down the code.) I cleared the code, but it's still drives like there's no turbo so I'm assuming it's in a 'safe mode'
every time I start it after it's been sitting a while It takes a few seconds of cranking for it to fire up.
anyone run into this problem before?
-thanks
