Heat reflecting black leather interior

Heat reflecting black leather interior
I'm considering an Audi A3 Cabriolet and have a question about the claims that the black leather interior uses "heat reflecting pigments" to keep them from heating up too much in sunlight. Any comments from owners regarding how effective this technology really is? I worry about a black interior in summer months.
Thanks for any feedback!

Sounds like a marketing department line to me. Would be interesting if true.
One of the reasons I got my A3 was of the cars I was looking at, it was the only one available WITHOUT an all black interior.
I share your concern about the summer months as I have had a car with all black interior before.

It is hard to compare with or without the coating as there are no seats on the same model available for comparison.
Realistically however coating or no coating black will still be the hottest color on a no cloud hot day and the light gray would be the least hot. Mine has the Chestnut Brown Interior but it has not been hot enough since we got it to be able to tell how hot it will get.
