Help in Diagnosing Engine Issue -- Rough Idle when Braking, Only in Drive/Reverse

Hey Guys,

My name is Anthony and I used to own an 04 TDi and was on TdiClub forum nearly every day. I've now purchased a 2006 A3 with the DSG and have come across an odd issue that I need your expertise on...

SYMPTOMS:
When coming to a complete stop, the second before the car haults and the brake is being applied ever so slightly to allow the car to slow completely, the idle drops about 200 RPM from 800-600 and back and forth a few times. The car seems to want to continue leaching forward, until I have to press on the brake even harder, and when I do this, it seems the idling issue doesn't happen. This does not happen any other time.

The car seems to run perfect all other moments. I swear I've smelt slight hints of gasoline every now and then, but that could just be my imagination.

MY THOUGHTS:
From what I've read here, it seems that this issue could easily be related to a slight leak in vacuum hoses somewhere? Perhaps the brake boost host or perhaps another one somewhere? Does anybody know which host is most probably to cause an issue such as this, or must i replace every single one? I'll be selling the car very soon, so would rather not spend lots of money on it if possible...

Please let me know what you guys think!! Is 7/64 the correct size for the vacuum line of the brake booster?

Thanks,
Anthony
