Just Got CHIPPED!! -Looking for a APR shop
hey guys! i finally got some time off next week to get my car chipped. however, i still have a limited budget... as i remembered, ppl said that most shops don't charge labor for chipping, right? I just contacted GMG and got the information that if i were to pay cash, i still had to pay tax + $115 of labor. does that price sound right?? i thought it was quite a bit off my expectation... So! i was wonderingifsocal fellows can give me some advises on where to go and who to look for ?? (around irvine area would be ideal) thank you guys
Okay! i went down to Pure Motorsport today and got my car chipped! took 405 S and 74 N all the way up to Lake Elsinore by the15 freeway. 74 wasone nice route tobe cruise=ing on.Driving on it felt like i was in a totally different part of the states. the weather was perfect, view was awesome, and i had all my windows and open-sky opened to get some fresh mountain air and californian sun light. Butta my iphone's google mapstarted playing games with me, and got lost for about an hour after reaching the lake... saw some cowboys and had a thought that i was completely lost in the wild... lol ... anywaysi found my way to the shop and it only took about half an hour to get the chipping done. Got two programs installed, which are the kill mode and the stock mode. YEAH, i could totally tell the difference afterwards. but then i started another long drive from Temecula to Palm Springs... omg the 215, 60, and 10freewaysmade my car rattled just about every piece of the car. i guess part of the reason was becus i was driving way too fast with my smiley face on. I was also gonna get the AWE boost gauge installed but they were out of stock. Since the car feels so much more powerful now, i just hope that the car doesnt start falling apart soon... anyways, i'mhappy that i finally got the car chipped!

RE: Looking for a APR shop
I got my APR chip done at PureMS in Temecula. Little ways away, but worth the drive. Mike and John are great guys! No labor on my flash and they reflash for free. They also did my suspension and rsb. I highly recommend these guys.
