Default just purchased an A3

Hey guys, i just purchased a White A3 2.0T with DSG, s-line package, sport package, tech package, two sunroofs, cold weather and i was amazed by the price. My previous car was a BMW 325xi heavily modded pics will be posted soon. I was just wondering, what bulb size is the fog lights because i would like to transfer my 8000K hid kit to my audi but i dont know if its 9006 or not. Also if the Xenon is D2S, and how big are the speakers. I have a set of Image Dynamics components and i was wondering if they would fit so if anyone knows the measurements it would be grateful. Other then that i am glad to be apart of this community and i cant wait to mod this bad boy. I found the test drive to be outstanding and i fell inlove with it at that moment.

Congrad's Nima and welcome!
Fog lights are Osram/Sylvania H11 12v 55W TP type, Xenon headlights are D1S Bi-Xenon 12V 55W (D1S Gas Discharge 12V 35W Bulb) , not D2S type.

Welcome!

Congrats on a great car purchase. Careful, I hope you have deep pockets because it will get crazy once you start modding this car. It will respond a lot better to mods than your BMW.

Cheers!

Congrats on the car - I am not a fan of white cars but the Opensky and the white make the car look outstanding. Can't wait to see what you do with your car!

Definitely need to tint the windows as one of the first mods. That makes the white and black contrast look so much better.

Cheers!

i was thinking to get the HR upgrade on the suspension which the audi dealership offers, and 20% tints all around. Then im going to put a nice set of HID fog lights, and a black with chrome lip DPE R20's. Quick question how does this car respond to 19's or do you assume the 18's would be most benefitial in this light weighed car?

I've never heard of the dealer doing any suspension upgrades. What's the HR upgrade???

Everyone that has gotten 19's for their A3 have serious rubbing problems. Many have already switched back to 18's. Those may still rub some depending on the width of your tire, offset, and the amount of drop on your suspension.

Cheers!

Nima – if your dealer can install aftermarket suspension and give you a warranty, give me the address, I am going for a ride!

Apart from Chef's remarks which are right on, I would also invest in suspensions for your seat because your a$$ is going to take a beating with 19s... IMHO. As everyone else, I do enjoy the looks but I cannot imagine that they will feel very good, especially on long rides... If you are looking at the bling-bling side of life, then 19s are fine, actually they are awesome, still for an everyday driving experience, comfort/performance 18s offer a much better alternative – again IMO.

no no no i am far from doing bling bling i think i went through that stage with the bmw, but the treatment on an Audi is totally different compared to an audi. lol thanks for the input. Its not an upgrade for which the dealership offers its more of a personal thing because we know the owners of the dealership and the owner of the dealership opened up an Audi tuning store and he offers upgrades to his friends. He is asking for $1300 and i get warranty through the dealership and i get to return to car with the same suspension and not worry about removing them. and the 1300 includes installation. They still are charging me dealership labours lol

One last thing Nima, why purchased a car with Sline and pay for a sport suspension you are going to upgrade? You cared that much about the sport seats and the 2tone wheels?
BTW, if you are in Florida, let me know where because I need to find some good Audi mechanics.

Anyway, enjoy you car.
