Locking issue and panaoramic sunroof
Hi, I have a 2006 A3 Sportback. It's German (well duh) and imported into Switzerland.
As the manual is German I cannot find out the simple instructions for getting the keyfob to start working again after it randomly stopped working.
There are a lot of suggestions on the web, but none seem to work for me, so wondering if anyone new the definate method for my model.
The keyfob has a small red light that occasionally lights up when pressing some of the buttons.
Thanks!
While I am here I thought I'd ask about the sunroof the car came with - it's the panoramic one and as Far as I can tell the roof part above the rear seats does not move in a mechanical sense, it only lets more light in to that part, while the panoramic part is because the roof above the driver spans the entire width of the roof unlike traditional sunroofs.
Edit: Answered my own question - http://www.audiusa.com/us/brand/en/t...ilter_i_p.html
I assume I have the same one as the Q5.

Have you changed the batteries and/or cleaned the metal contacts that touches the batteries?
The Q5's sunroof has alot more glass visible from the inside, where in the A3's, you just see 2 small holes in the roof. The A3's only looks like it is the entire width from the outside.

Um... So, I had just bought an Audi A3 2010 and when the dealer handed me the keys... I came with a tag that had a code on it. From what I understand is that they may need that to reprogram the remote to the car again. Otherwise they can pull from your VIN and pull the code from their system.
