Hi I'm just about to buy a 2013 or 2014 model Audi A3

I can't decide between the 5 gear 1.6TDI and the 6 gear 2.0TDI

I do 600-800 motorway miles a week at ~ 80mph and I don't know which will provide the best realistic MPG

I get mileage allowance at work so the lower the MPG the more money I won't be having to fork out of my own pockets

 

Not sure if this helps much but below is a screenshot from wikipedia. I have to say the 1.6 sounds like it has no power at all. You might get bored of it and also pushing it more will most likely waste more fuel.
