Default Low fluid sensor

Hello , can anybody tell me if the 06 A3 has a low fluid sensor for the washer fluid? I runned out of it last week and the warning light never came on so I took it to the dealer and they told me that the car does not have the sensor for it , could this be true , personaly I find it strange but... , so if somebody has any input on this matter it would be welcome , thanks.

Copa2.

Nope, no sensor. But, the container will hold a full gallon. I had mine replaced with the accident and they forgot to fill it up after they fixed it. It took a full gallon of the blue stuff. Man, I do miss the smell of the factory juice.

Cheers!

The A3 most definitely has a sensor for the windshield washer fluid. It came on in our car, I filled it and, about two weeks later, it was on again. Turns out I had a leak. It was in the pipes that go to the reservoir. We just got the car back yesterday from the dealer after having it fixed.

What year and model???

I'd bet my performance mods that it isn't a 2006 2.0T.

Cheers!

Don't know about 2006 models...anyone? When you start your 2006 A3 you should light up all your error lights chef, if its there is one it looks like a windshield with water spraying in the center.

For sure its part of the 2007 fault indicators. In 2007 manual it is referenced on page 54, 55 as "Windshield washer fluid level too-low and page 300 has service advice.

There is no error light on the 2006 2.0T. Gauranteed!

Thanks for the info , I know the error light it's not there at the start but it's mentioned in the manual, page 42 if I'm not wrong.
( @ Copa2, it may need enabling with Vag Com ), what do you mean by that "rich1068"?

Well, I don't have an indicator for that option on my warning lights. Maybe it is something that can be activated for the digital display on the dash computer, which I don't have on my car either? All I'm saying is that the dealership was correct in stating that his car doesn't have the warning light. AND, neither does mine. Now, if some well-to-do British bloke wants to donate some cool Audi parts from the privileged side of the pond, I'd be happy to upgrade my lowly, quattroless, A3.

Cheers!
