Lowering spring on A3
Hello everyone,
I am about to buy springs to lower my car, but I have a doubt, drop my car 2" inches is a lot??
I have never done this to a car, and Im afraid that dropping it 2" inches it would make it very hard to drive, it would be very low for the street, specially speed bumps.
My choices are the Eibach kit that drop the car 2" inches, wich are the one im thinking more strongly, or the Koni one`s, but those only drop the car about 1.3 " inches.
What do you think?? Isnt 2" inches very lower?? Or 1.3" inches is enough to make it look good and drive better??
I am also looking for the car to look lower and sportier, but I dont how it would look with 2" inches less and its stock 17 rims.

Take a look through my pictures and you'll see a drop of about 1.5". I have the Koni coilovers and that is about the current adjustment. Personally, I think just dropping the stock car a bit has a dramatic effect.
Cheers!

Well, then im going to get the 1.2 inches springs... Somebody told me that it will drop more because of the extra weight, for DSG.
What dou youn think?? the one who is selling them to me says it will drop like 1.5", when in the page says 1.2"...He says is his guessing.
And last question... What do you think is better, those are my 2 options, KONI Springs, ore Eibach springs, both are the same price and are supposed to drop 1.2" inches

I wouldn't count on the added weight of DSG dropping your car another 0.3"... DSG isn't that much heavier than MT -- 69 lbs. according to Edmunds. By that logic, just adding the weight of yourself + a tank of gas would make the tires drag the fender wells! If you want to go 1.5" just get a 1.5" kit. Some of these kits are adjustable, right? If we're talking tenths of an inch, I think you could tweak it exactly to your liking.
