Malfunction Indicator Lamp On
 

The MIL has come on in my 2007 A3 2L. It has about 40K miles. Any idea what the cause might be and is there something I can do before I take it in for an expensive visit to the dealership?

try clicking the fuel cover for 3+ clicks clockwise(closed). bet it goes away after a day or three. happens to me every few months, dealer recommended this and has worked every time.

a code reader would help you diagnose error messages.
