My A3 after coilover install.

Ok so i went to NGP racing today and decided to just let them do my coilovers, instead of yelling and screaming in my garage for a day or 2 lol.
I went with the vogtland coilovers. The ride is perfect in my opinion, not to stiff, not bouncy, and handles like a go cart lol.
They cranked the front all the way down and left the rears with about a 1/8 inch left to adjust.
I also had ngp add 13mm spacers on the rear to stagger them a little. I'm getting a tiny bit of rubbing on the right rear when hitting bumps at speed, so i'm going to bring the spacer down a couple mm.
All and all i'm very pleased with this suspension, well worth the money, 950.00 for coilovers + labor. Hopefully this gives some people a ideal of what their car may look like with coilovers, and yes i know i need rims lol. http://www.ngpracing.com/store...=2407
As you can see i don't really have a level driveway so I'll get some better pix tomorrow so you can see how it really sits.

No doubt but i'm going to get some OZ wheels. I may wait till after winter though. I'm prolly going to stick with 17's though, more rotating mass equals less power to the ground.
Here's a betta pic of it after all that dam rain.

That lip is amazing,What lip is that?? and where did you get your german grill badge??

Ryder 12-21-2009 01:36 PM

Got it all off of ebay, just search for german flag badge or audi badge or emblem. Also NGP racing sells them at there store and on there web site, i had to trim the edges to make it fit in place of the s line badge.
And the lip spoiler is also from ebay, it was like 40 bucks shipped i think. Its actually just a rubber and foam like material, basically weather striping with 3m adhesive back, and it has like a 45 degree angle to it. It also comes with screws to secure it, the best part of it is that it molds to your bumper and wont ever brake when u hit a curb when parking or in the snow lol. I have had it on the car since H20 and havnt had anyproblems with it coming off. Most people are suprised when they touch it, since it almost looks like a true hard spoiler. They laugh, then say they want one too because there hard lip spoiler is always cracking lol.

Your cars looks good. The A3 looks SOOOOOO much better dropped.

The only problem is keeping your oil pan, transmission, and exhaust system from getting anhililated from road debris or bumpy roads. I have quite a few marks from stuff that "appeared" quickly in front of me with no chance to avoid. I cooked part of a deer carcass on my downpipe for several miles on my way home a few months ago. My car was very popular with the neighborhood cats. LOL

I dont have any issue's with the oil pan, only thing that rubs alot is the bottom of my front bumper, since my driveway is a hill basically if you don't hit it just right it rubs a little. I ran over a deer too, luckely it only bent my front rim, but it gave me a good excuse to get the rs4 rims.
