need opinions; too expensive?
I hope this is an appropriate place to post this. I am very interested in buying this used car AUDI A3 S-Line 383 hp I talked him down to 19k. Should I go down more to 18k? I drove it and it drives and spools perfectly and is in great shape. What's a fair price for this vehicle. Thanks all

I am totally agree with you. You are 100% good here that If all the improvements are genuine and it drives as excellent as you claim. No doubt 19k is a great price.

where's the upgrade to the interior of the engine? All that power on a stock engine, who knows what will happen. Audi did a whole sleuth of upgrades to the engine internals just so that they could pump 260hp out of the same block.
Also, upgrades should add no value to the car, in fact, it usually decreases the value. I've seen dealers having modded cars on their lot for a long time at non-modded cars price.

I thought upgrades like an upgraded turbo count? The only time an upgrade doesn't add value is when you add something that was not previously there. Like say I turbo a 3.2 which is NA that adds nno value. Thank you for opening up some controversey tho. The guy has his fuel pump, lines and intake all swapped out for apr. I'm sure the engine internals and cams are stock

almost all upgrades adds no value, unless it is an OEM item where the upgrade would have also have been a dealer option such as NAV, xenon, leather, etc. Even then, the price recuperated would be nowhere near the cost of those items if purchased new.
Aftermarket upgrades kind of implies this person likely pushed the car hard (and with 383hp, it is pushed to twice the amount the mfg have determined to be reliable enough so it will last in the mileage period covered by the warranty (and at least 100k mile, given nobody will be happy when their cars starts to die at 50k miles).

you should pay for the car as if it stock.
Most people part out their car and sell off the parts, putting OEM parts back on because they know they will get much more money back in selling the parts. Its a little hard with a stage 3, but ppl sometimes xfer the ECU flash to another car, and all the parts are xferrable to another car, only requiring the cost of lablor
