First thread on forum.
Thinking of buying an 04 reg, 2.0 Tdi, which looks great inside and out, done 138k, so high miles but cheap at £3600 - drives well.
Only 2 things that seem wrong with it, on idle, when warm, tickover is very slightly lumpy, rev counter needle doesn't move you can just feel it through the seat. Only slight though. Could live with it ok.
Also I can hear a slight 'rumble' from low down in the engine as car starts up for a second as it fires up.
Apart from that it seems spot on.
Any views on these probs and buying highish mileage A3s would be very welcome.
