No external temp display after new dash comp
Hey folks,
I just got a 2000 reg A3 1.6 sport. When i got it the dials on the dash didn't light up, the needles did but not the dials. Anyhow to cut a long story short the dealer ended up having to fork out £500 for a new dash computer fitting, recoded immobiliser, reprogrammed mileage the works! But now i have no external temperature display when driving. Not a big fault but a niggling one. Could it be they haven't connected a cable back up? Could i fix this myself? Or should i contact the garage directly and say they haven't done the job properly so put it right! I've already been without my car for a week and had a crappy Fiat cunto replacement, i really don't want to be without it again!! Any advice welcome!!! Cheers, Mike |
RE: No external temp display after new dash comp
I have a similar problem....I had my temp display flashing on and off and changing from degrees centigrade to Faranheit. The audi garage said a new probe was need (fits into front grill nearside). Replaced this but its still no different. The confusing thing is that when I take the probe out, it still measures the temperature!
If you have any advice, I'd be grateful |
