Ordering an A3

Ordering an A3
Hello, I'm new here, but i've been reading the vwvortex forums quite a bit (I'll post in the intro forum in a few). Went over the weekend and test drove an A3, loved it! Went back to the dealer yesterday and put a downpayment on one. 2.0T, DSG, sport, nav+sound, cold weather, convenience, blue tooth, bi-xenon,etc... everything except open sky. However the order got kicked back today.
Problem is in the sport package, you can't have bi-xenon and convenience (and therefore bluetooth). If you order the premium, you do get both. Makes no sense to me. I explained everything to the sales manager and he agrees, there's no reasonable reason why you shouldn't be able to get all that.
The sales manager (Peter at Jack Daniels Motors in Fair Lawn, NJ) has been very helpful, and is calling a few different people at Audi. He's saying that if they can't give me a good technical mechanical reason besides the ordering system won't let them do it... then to custom build it that way.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

RE: Ordering an A3
Well I ordered it, but no bi-xenons. Just can't do it. '07s will probably drop the sport/premium packages, and go with an s-line trim. No Audi Advantage maintenance warranty with the '07s though, so that's why I stuck with the '06. Oh well, what can ya do

Premium is missing the hatch tail and it comes with pwr seats instead of manual sports seats like the TT. Xenon on both premium and sport are not adaptive headlights as you would get on the 3.2 with additional cost.
Anyways, make sure when you get your car to check the NAV and bluetooth are working togather (push the TEL button after you bond your phone to the bluetooth). My system had a problem because they had installed an older version of software for the NAV so I could not dial from the NAV unit. Also, they had installed the 1A(2004) DVD NAV disk instead of the 2A(2005+). Well, my dealer did fix all the issues but do check it before accepting car.
