Sirius install new question
 

I have a 2006 A3. I bought the Sirius tuner to install today. I got the wires plugged into the tuner and everything in the back looks fine. I went to move the CAN bus as people have already said to do, but when I removed the passenger kick panel, there was nothing there! No plugs and nothing to plug into. The stereo doesn't recognize the tuner, so what is the next step? Thanks.

What is the CAN BUS?

Did you ever get this issue resolved? I am about to begin installation as well and looking for as much advice as possible before I dive in and start tearing things apart...

I did get the problem resolved. I had to take the car in to get some body work done and I had the dealer look at it. Apparently, the CAN BUS connector that needed to be moved was located in the passenger side A pillar (at least that's what they have told me). I haven't gone back in to check and make sure yet, so take it for what it's worth.

Where are these front and rear panels and how are they removed?

Does the tuner get mounted to the outside of the panel after pulling the wires through the plastic door?
