Hi,

I've a problem with steering wheel unusual sound already for about year. Problem came with new power steering pump. So lately i've looking for solutions but Ive ran out ideas.

Chassis is fine. The sound is somewhere inside the car. Near the steering wheel. When I move steering wheel rapidly left and right then sound is there. I've also replaced lower steering column, there were some loose crosses ( dunno how they are called in english properly) and now the steering wheel can be pulled or pushed. This feature was not working before.

Car: Audi a3 8l 1997.

Ideas?
