pls give me any input on a brand of CAI......... the goods, the bads..... pls give me links to websites too if possible........ wanna get one within the next 2 weeks

 

Well, I'm once again waiting for my freebie CAI from K&N. Can't give you any feedback at the moment, but maybe soon? That is the problem with getting too many freebies. You know what you're going to get but the wait is killer. By the original timing estimates from GReddy and K&N, I should have both the CAI and Exhaust this month.

I love my AEM CAI. I think AEM makes the best CAI's around. The only thing is that the production model isn't out yet. I'm guessing Chef's K&N isn't out either.

I don't know what the gains are for the Evom intake, but the AEM is +15 hp. Sounded too much at first, but I saw the dyno of a new GTI's intake, which is virtually the same as the a3's.

Plus, I LOVE the sound of the "whooooosh ...." while coming down the street.

 

does the butt dyno agree with the +15 hp claim?

 

15 is an assload from an intake, i wish i had those gains haha

Hey guys, I got my carbonio and ghl turbo back exhaust, haven't dynod the car yet , but I dont think you get 15 hps w/ just the intake. I called and spoke to the owner of APR down here and he says you get about 10 hps w/CAI. Chip in 2 weeks.
