Symphony II says 'NO PTY' sometimes

Anyone know what it means when I switch stations on my Symphony II radio and it says 'NO PTY' for a few seconds?

I think that means that station is not broadcasting RDS information. If it broadcasts RDS, the radio would display the station identifier and whatever it wants, usually the song and artist it is currently playing.
