Where is this Audi A3 part from?

Well, I've received an Audi A3 2003 that used to be from my grandfather and I'm trying to fix everything I can, the car is almost destroyed...

This part was on the floor of the car, but I couldn't find the correct spot to place it. Where does this part belong to?

Looks to me like possibly the rear middle armrest lid handle? Not sure though.

The car has no "rear middle armrest"... A least there is leather all over that area.
