Hi,

My camshaft broke 3 weeks ago on my A3 from 2006 with 85 000 miles. It broke between the gear and the first (??valvemover?? correct word not known)
Luckily they replaced the engine under warranty, but it doesn't feel like it was before.

Who had the same problem?

 

my camshaft didn't go as far as breaking, but i did have it replaced along with the high pressure fuel pump. doesn't feel any different --- actually feels better. you should take it back to the dealer and ask them to take a look at it
