Wierd Humming Noise While Driving

I have chipped my car along with exhaust and intake. After I got my car chipped when I drive it hard there is a wierd humming noise that comes from the engine compartment. I have no idea what it is. Please Help.

Is it high pitched or low pitched? Most likely you are just hearing the turbo. The higher boost with a chip is going to cause the turbo to work harder and it will be more audible.

Its a low pitch humm. I dont think that it is the turbo. Do you think that it could possible that my diverter valve is leaking creating that humm?

Not sure. How long have you been chipped? Have you noticed a drop in power since the humming started? Do you have a boost gauge? Lower boost would be an indicator of a failed diverter valve.

[ol][*]I have been chipped for a couple of months but it started the day that i got it chipped. For all i know it could be the chip that is causing the noise. But i just dont think that it is the turbo that is causing the noise. It is not a noise that the turbo would make. If anyone else that has had this problem please post.[/ol]
