$450 for rear pads, rotors and labor. Is that a good price or am I getting ripped off????

I have a 99 A4, 2.8 quattro.

 

Ripped.. Thats about $300 in labor they are chargin... I got my rear rotors and pads for about $115.

 

where could I look to purchase rear pads and rotors for my A4?

 

I got my front and rear pads plus front rotors done at Midas back in November for about $620.00.

 

Check out ecartoys .com for good oem replacements.. Get mintex pads and zimmerman or brembo rotors.

$620 sounds like the "going rate" for brakes. At least that's what I was getting.

Regular NON slotted, NON drilled rotors.. dont get slotted/drilled.

Regular Metalmaster or Mintex pads...

DIY is easy, you just need some basic tools and a caliper press

onepoint8tee - $115 is way below the going rate for rotors and pads. You may have found a great deal, but front pads alone should cost anywhere from $50-$100, depending on what you buy.
