Default A4 3.0 CVT

I have never driven a CVT, but people tell me its a strange experience that first time you do. Where do you live in Canada? Get much snow in that area? Now that I have AWD I don;t think I could go back to a FWD car.

I love my quattro.

my front wheel drive A4 isn't that bad inthe New England winters, but obviously Quattro is better.

Default A4 3.0 CVT

I saw a German Auto show that compared the 3.0 CVT and the 3.0 Q in snowy conditions .The outcome was quit surprising -

The 3.0 Q was better at take off from a dead stop but when moving the traction control on the 3.0 CVT was equal if not better than the 3.0Q !!

They recommended going with the 3.0 CVT for less $$ . less $$ for maint on the transm, and the car has better performance in dry condtions.

I do own a 3.0 CVt so I may be baised but this report was interesting !
