The 710 bypass valve will not give you any performace addition - it will however be able to handle the new boost - your stock valve would likely destruct in a matter of months with the chip installed. Thats the point of the upgrade.

Sure you are not just getting used to the chip? Its possible you actually blew the new 710 diverter valve. You added a boost controller? Perhaps you are throwing too much boost for the valve to handle. Its only rated for 1 bar IIRC.
Could be the chip... I dunno. I have never used a Speedtuning.
