Default 05 Steering Wheel Buttons

My new A4 came with the multi-function steering wheel that has the two buttons that run the non-existant nav system. Anyone know of a mod that would make those buttons function, like muting the radio or using Mode to move between CD, Sirius and the radio?

Hey welcome to the forum. No mods to date have been done for what you are asking. The voice command button doesn't even work for Nav equiped cars yet. Strange, not sure why Audi included them if they don't work yet.

Yeah tell me about it. I can see an american company doing that, but come on. They at least could have made a blanking plate.

I was in to see the dealer today and was told that the 06 radios will support those buttons, and of course I can upgrade later..... In the meantime they reprogrammed the buttons to not show the NO FUNCT error code, so I can at least push them to my hearts content with visions of Oil Slicks and Missiles shooting out the tail. Thanks Guys.

Haha, nice. Other people have been told that the button will never do anything. So don't get your hopes up too hight. We'll see when we see!
