1.8 turbo sport
I was reading a review site and at the end it gave the 0-100 times for various A4s (no mods). It stated that the 1.8t was 0-100 in 10s and the 1.8t sport 8.0 is this really true or was the site getting confused. If so isa 1.8t sport worth getting over a 2.8 quattro? Just as a quick aside when did the 5v/cylinder come into audi's engines?
The Sport 1.8T and the Non-Sport both perform exactly the same, but the suspension is a little better on the Sport model. In terms of power and acceleration, they are the same.
As for the 5v/Cyl, I believe that was introduced in 1997 with the 1.8T and 1998.5 with the 2.8L

only the 01 has more power, 2000 and lower B5's make 150hp stock where as the 2001 makes 170hpdue to higher boost from the bigger turbo. The sport suspension will also help acceleration due the fact it is designed to give better traction, but it is mostly for handeling reasons. For the record my stock 01 1.8t sport QM 0-60 times were between 8.9-9.2 sec
the '01 does not have a bigger turbo. It is known as the K03 sport with a little more boost and 1 or so internal differences if anybody wants to chime in....... also, i highly doubt that the sport suspension would increase the 0-60or 0-100 by much if any..........
the 01 has a k03 sport from what i have heard but i read somewhere that borg warnger never made a k03 sport but you knows but i don't think that 20 extra crank horse power would make a 2 second differance in 0-60 times or 0-100 times
