Has anyone thought of doing an RS4 engine swap into their car???? How much and hard do you think it would be to do?

 

I don't think this is a job you're goign to want to tackle. It will require thousands and thousands of dollars to make it work. I once saw a rs4 engine and all the trimmings for something like 15grand on ebay. It would be cheaper to buy an S4 and mod the hell out of it.

 

you would have to custom fabricate engine mounts get a whole new ecu and rewire your car. you would have to get a new tranny and fabricate the fit into the car. you would have to get a new suspension b/c of vthe added weight. you would probably have to change all the wheel bearing to a ceramic bearing to accomadate the new horsepower. (thats what i had to do) youll have to get stronger drivesahfts and "axels" you would have to get a new gauge panal and there's a whole bunch more that would have to be swapped.

 

buy an s4, and put k04s on it...


rs4 probably wouldnt even fit in a4 or s4 body, rs4 is widebody...

 

buy an s4 and do this conversion S4 to RS4 conversion

 

buy an S4 and make it a stage 3

 

Isn't the new S4 a 4.xL NA engine? It sounds phat, but I'm wondering if the 2.7T with dual K04 turbos would be better than the new S4 with a supercharger. Any thoughts?

It was just a thought, un-realistic YES....

Would the older S4 turbos be faster modded, or the new one's??? Cause right now i kill the old turbo ones in races..., but the new ones i don't even stand a chance right now.....
