i read somewhere that they used the 2.8 engine and modified it man to make it 2.7, its a .1 litre different, could be the same engine

 

but it has skinnier cyl walls which = weeker

Yeah but the 2.8 is still a strong engine. btw- switft a4, why would he wana build a custom s/c when he could use the g2 and make 300hp.

 

the 2.7 is the same block as the 2.8 but the made it .1 smaller to make it be able to handle the boost of the twin turbos. Has anyone driven a 2.8 S/C? I wish i could it would make this alot easier.

 

apg, if you want instant power, then you definitely want the s/c. if it were me, i'd definitely get the s/c...

 

yeah a s/c would be nice because i dont think there many 2.8s out there with them. i havent seen anyone yet so far. but if you have alot of money... a S4 would be nice, my borthers friend has his S4 close to 500hp.

There is a guy who's user name is Docurley on the http://www.audi-sport.net forum and he has a charged 2.8.

But is now selling it cos he has bought a 1.8T quattro and is doing a RS4 wide body conversion on it!!!
