16 Year Old wanting to buy an A4
If someone could give me some advice on my situation it would be great. I'm new here so sorry if I posted in the wrong thread. So I want to buy an A4 for my first car. I was looking for around a 2008 model with right around 100k miles. I'm not familiar with Audis or any foreign cars and neither is my family, so if any problems come up it would be quite difficult to fix. I currently have a job making a little more than min. wage, but I'm building up money for the car itself at this point and will have enough money around September. My main question is would this be a dumb idea since from what I hear repairs would be very costly and pop up a lot. Thanks

Hello, you might want to check the idea of leasing! I have an A4 leased by DSR Leasing http://dsrleasing.com/ and I am very satisfied You will find here amazing deals on many Audi models, including A4's.

At 100k miles repairs are bound to pop up. Over the past two months I have sunk about $3k into various repairs on my car. On a minimum wage job that could be hard to keep up with. Of course if you buy the car out right (no loan) it would be easier. If you get a good car you should not run into a lot of problems. Just be aware that parts tend to run higher for foreign cars than domestic or Japanese. My oldest is going to start driving in a couple of years. I will most likely either hand down my Audi to her or buy her the domestic/Japanese car at that time. I would not buy her an Audi as her first car.
