My 96 2.8Q has an excess of 120K miles and has no problems (knock on wood). I had the option of getting an M3 but decided that the A4 was the way to go. With regular maintance and high octance petrol, your car will be very reliable.

but for me anyway, the cost of the cheaper insurance for the 1.8T over the 2.8 is a savings of over 3000 in 2 years
if my turbo goes within 2 years, and i buy a k04 AND APR chip... i actually SAVED money. you might be in the same boat
Are you sure that not that big difference in engines will greatly effect insurance?
my insurance company quoted me $50-100 more fo the 2.8 a month in insurance

keep in mind...i have very high insurance

I want to thank everyone who helped me, but I am not sure if it will be good for me, as with pricy repaires.

and btw there is no difference in insurance between 2 A4 quattro version.

After all I might get Audi 100 from 1994, old but hopefully that will be build as a tank, like most of old German cars...

dude tell you honestly I was thinking about buying corrado VR6 at first, then I could hardly find any close to me, and their quality and pricy parts did throw me away, I might get that someday

But German cars are pretty expensive to maintaine,
