Hello...Im new here! = ) I was reading tons of posts on this forum and it was appearant to me that you guys know your ****. So with that said. Im looking to buy my friends 98 A4 2.8 30v, low miles. However he was in an accident about 1.5 years ago. Car needs new headers. He said he would pay for the work if I bout the car. Is there anything I can do about getting better performance from some sort of upgraded header. If so where and possible price range. Also, how much would you pay for a A4 2.8 quattro with low miles? FYI I currently own a 96 A6 with no mods but a $2500 stereo job. I plan on putting my stereo in my A4 but with some small mods like a GIAC engine chip and exhaust. Plus some e-codes HID.

 

I have never seen headers for the 30 valve 2.8, just the 12V (1995-1997).

 

If you have the money and you can find somebody to fab some new headers you will have headers but the fun part is determining if they offer better flow which they may not.

 

Might as well invest in the supercharger. Custom headers are expensive (good ones at least)! the HP gain would not be worth it imo.

 

Agreed unless you are planning on high numbers factory manifolds would probably be best...........supercharger!!!!!!!!
