Default 2006 3.2 A4 v. 2006 2.0t A4

I havent seen any posts on the subject, and I hate to start anything but has anyone noticed th that the 2006 3.2 A4 and 2006 2.0t A4 are totally different in character. I would never buy an 2.0t but eh 3.2 Quattro is sheer driving bliss.

HAHAHAAHA, this might be the funniest post since my "cleanest b5" post. LOL...

Redryder: You have like one post...did you research anything before making the decission of posting up what you did??? Sure, the 3.2 is gonna be faster, smoother, and "a better car" in stock form...and thats what the v-6 is for...people who tend to keep there cars the way it came from the factory... The 2.0T has a turbo on it, and it responds AMAZING to aftermarket mods. Very little money and it will walk all over the 3.2, so it just depends on what your goals are with the car... next time do some research before coming on here and saying things like you did. were not hating on you cuz your a NOOB, were just opening your eyes to let you know REAL FACTS about Audi's and "driving bliss"..

Exactly, its all about what you are looking for. The 3.2 and 2.0T are completely different cars. When I bought mine i could not tell the difference in overall performance. There are subtler things in my decision to go with the 3.2. One I just came back from being deployed overseas for 3 years and the $5000 difference in cost wasn't a big deal. And two, the turbo engine seemed jumpy and the turbo lag somewhat reminded me of my old civic, no where near as bad, but the civic took like days after flooring it to gain any substanitial power. Although the 2.0 has very little lag, it just drove my nuts thinking about it, and the engine was a too noisy for me at idle. This is purely subjective and it took me almost a full day of driving both to really decide. The 3.2 is definitely heavier and felt a little sluggish in comparison to the lively turbo, but definitely had a very solid ride and beautiful engine signature that gave it a very different feel than the turbo. Also drove an Acura TL which just seemed out classed by both Audi engines. Would probably have a harder time reselling the 3.2 just because the 2.0 is more popular for modding and price, but you could easily run into the same problem with the 2.0 if you chip and mod to get the added hp. I just can't see many people buying a used car that has been modded regardless of the quality of the mod, I wouldn't. That being said if you don't have the loot and would consider modding the 2.0T is a steal. Hell its a steal stock. And think about it. Stock, the 2.0 has 200 hp with a 4cyl, the BMW 325 has 215hp with a 6cyl. Maybe not the best comparison, but I definitely marvel at the fact that Audi has created such a great 4cyl engine with so much potential. Both are great, its all on you and what you want.

The 2.0T is actuallly underrated from the factory. Dynos have shown that the 2.0T puts out closer to 220 chp stock. With just a chip ppl have run 13.9's in the qaurter. Also, turbo lag in the 2.0T is practically nonexistant, and the thing seems to pull all the way to redline unlike the 1.8T.

90% of us would go with the turbo
you will have a more aggressive drive with the chipped turbo and won't pay a lot for the mods
but it's just a preference, there is no right or wrong i guess...

ok i lied, there is a right: TURBO
