Default 2007 Audi A4 Recall

I took in my 2007 Audi A4 today for its 5,000 mile service today. The ECU is flash with the APR software. My service advisor asked me if the car had any mods... being that this is a leased vehicle and I didn't want to void the warranty I said no. She came back saying "Oh ok, good because we have a recall that flashes the ECU". Opps, so I'm looking at the receipt here and it says "PERFORM SOFTWARE FLASH FOR FAULT P0601".

Anyone had this done? Know what it's for?

If the APR dealer, or wherever you got chipped at is nice enough, they will reflash you for free. They might want to charge you the labor to do it again, but that is minimal compared to a new chip. You arent the first person this has happend to.

The recall will fix the cold starting problem.
Also, recall will wipe out any software you have in the car. But you can get it back at no charge at your apr dealership.
