2011 a4 immobilizer security activated

Got a 2011 with the security system active, won't start and has the component protection active. Car was in a flood. My main question, is the immobilizer similar to the older models? Does it have the flashing car/key like older audis? I'm thinking about doing an immobilizer delete to get it running again. Everything else works on the car. Thanks.

From my experience dealing with flooded vehicles, modern immobilizers are usually more integrated than older models, so the behavior might differ from the classic flashing car/key indicator. Flood damage can affect modules in subtle ways, making troubleshooting tricky. I recently read an article, https://aijourn.com/from-water-filte...secure-system/ and it made me think about how crucial layered security is—even in cars—so any modifications like an immobilizer delete should be considered carefully.
